Program Description
My program, "CHILDREN AS AUTHORS," is designed to fire up the enthusiasm of young writers and show them how to improve their own writing. I lead the students through a full course of information on how writers and illustrators work, from the original idea to the finished book, presented in an inspirational, storytelling style. As a former teacher, I know how to keep the students' rapt attention, no matter what the size of the group. I leave them bursting with enthusiasm for writing and reading, which the teachers can take advantage of in class.
