Short Bio: Renee Sevelitte holds two degrees from Northeastern University in Boston and studied at Parsons School of Design in New York City. Her design career spans twenty-two years focusing on design and visual communications. Combining her expertise in design with being a devoted parent led her to create the art lesson book, YOU ARE A WORK OF ART! Her vision is to extend to others that art is a means of safe self-expression for children.

Program Info

Program Descriptions: ART WORKSHOP for Classroom or Library Groups: My presentation is based on my book You Are a Work of ART! With overhead transparencies we learn the four elements of art: line, form, color, texture. After introducing how we can express our emotions through art, the children participate in the art lesson exploring the emotion: excited. Each child receives supplies to create a section of a colorful mural for your classroom or library. The presentation runs approximately 50 minutes and includes a copy of the book for each child.
