Short Bio: Greg R. Fishbone is an author of humorous books for ages 8-12. Publishers Weekly called his Galaxy Games series "every alien-obsessed kid’s dream come true!" His school and library programs are kid-friendly and engaging.

Travel Range: Greg can be "virtually" anywhere via Skype. For in person visits, Greg is based in Waltham, MA, and will do four-presentation days within a 75 mile radius, three-presentation days within a 60 mile radius, two presentations within a 45 mile radius, and one presentation within 30 miles.

* Write a Book with Greg (Grades 4-12, Multi-Week Program)
Program Pricing: $200 per 55-minute presentation for up to 4 presentations per day, plus $1 per mile traveled. 10 to 15 minute Skype visits are free!
Special Features: Greg is a certified English teacher with extensive experience speaking in the classroom. He loves to discuss the writing process with students of all ages and engage them in workshop activities. The Galaxy Games series can also serve as a jumping-off point for discussions of world culture or science.

THE CHALLENGES OF WRITING THE CHALLENGERS includes an extensive discussion of Japanese culture and also touches on some of the other 36 countries represented on Earth’s Galaxy Games team

THE SCIENCE OF GALAXY GAMES ranges from astronomy to zoology. Kids will learn about the search for extraterrestrial life, the discovery and cataloging of exoplanets, and the techniques that authors use to create memorable and realistic aliens for their stories.

PLAYING THE GALAXY GAMES introduces a version of the fictional game that can be played in real life, and has been successfully implemented in physical education classes.

WRITE A BOOK WITH GREG will allow your class to co-write a book with a professional author. This unforgettable multi-week unit includes an hour-long intro session with students, guidance for the teacher, an opening chapter to build on, and chapter by chapter feedback leading to a class-written book that will be available in print and ebook editions.
