NANCY COTE has illustrated more than two dozen books including WHEN I FEEL ANGRY by Cornelia Maude Spelman, and MRS. GREENBERG’S MESSY HANUKKAH by Linda Glaser, both winners of the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Gold Seal Award; THE CAN-DO THANKSGIVING by Marion Hess Pomeranc, a Society of School Librarians International Honor Book and an ABA “Pick of the
Lists” book; THE BORROWED HANUKKAH LATKES by Linda Glaser, a Smithsonian Notable Book for Children, and the Florida Reading association Children’s Book Award; FIREFLIES, PEACH PIES & LULLABIES by Virginia Kroll, a CBC-IRA Notable Children’s Trade Book; MRS.GREENBERG’S MESSY HANUKKAH by Linda Glaser ,a Sidney Taylor Notable book Award; MRS. FICKLE’S PICKLES by Lori Reis, Parenting Magazine Best Book.
She is also the author and illustrator of JACKSON’S BLANKET, PALM TREES, IT FEELS LIKE SNOW, IT’S ALL ABOUT ME! and FLIP-FLOPS, an ABA “Pick of the Lists” book which received recognition from the Society of Illustrators and included Cote’s art in its Original Art ’98 exhibit at the Society of Illustrators in New York City.
Her newest books include: THE LEPRECHAUN WHO LOST HIS RAINBOW and WHICH SHOES WOULD YOU CHOSE?
Nancy teaches Children’s Book Illustration III at Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, RI. in the continuing education certificate program.
She lives with her husband Michael Cote in Somerset MA and they have three children, Melissa, Katherine and John. |
