Short Bio: After receiving a Master’s Degree in Illustration from Syracuse University, Christine focused her illustration career on children’s books. Her newly-to-be released illustrations for Emma and the Mashed Potato Monster is a picture book filled with imagination. She has also illustrated nonfiction for grades 1 to 5, fictional books for early readers, and poetry texts for pre-K to elementary grade levels.
As a retired art educator with twenty-four years of experience, Christine enjoys returning to schools to share her love for creativity in book form.

Program Info

Program Descriptions: Christine conducts single or multiple presentations for small or large groups. Each of the books is displayed in an engaging Power Point presentation. Christine also provides suggested lessons and creative hand- outs. With her K-12 art accreditation and long teaching experience, Christine will customize her presentations.

Program Pricing: $200.00 for single presentation, $1,100.00 for five one-hour presentations, one day
Half-day arrangements are also possible. Travel fees apply for out-of-state visits.
Special Features: Although Christine’s illustrations are for picture books, she has also given presentations to high schools classes and adults. She utilizes the illustrations to explain the role of the illustrator and the process of creating word to image.
Christine co-teaches a graduate course, Word to Image; Exploring Children’s Books to Expand Teaching Strategies, for Grades K-8 teachers and welcomes the opportunity to give workshops for teachers.
Please note that schools have the option of ordering copies of Christine’s recent books. She will happily make arrangements to sign these.
