Lita's picture books often show young people as active members of history. Her first book, "One Thousand Tracings”, won the IRA Children’s Book Award, was a 2008 Jane Addams Children’s Book Award Honoree, an ALA Notable Children's Book, and an NCTE Notable Children’s Books in the Language Arts. |
