Laya Steinberg grew up in Canada and moved to Boston to attend the Massachusetts College of Art. She was equally inspired by her high school art teacher and her college poetry professor. She has been writing poetry and drawing for most of her life but only started writing children’s books after a few years of telling bedtime stories to her own children. She lives in the Boston area with her husband and two children.
