National Children's Book and Literacy Alliance fund raiser, 10 December 2005
The National Children's Book and Literacy Alliance (NCBLA) has a new website and an upcoming local event that may be of interest to SCBWI members.
NCBLA's authors and illustrators--M. T. Anderson, Natalie Babbitt, Mary Brigid Barrett, Susan Cooper, Steven Kellogg, David Macaulay, Gregory Maguire, Patricia MacLachlan, Fredrick and Patricia McKissack, and Katherine Paterson--invite you to join them at "In Celebration of Children's Literature: A Conversation with the NCBLA's Authors and Illustrators," at Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts, on Saturday, December 10, 2005 from 2-4 pm.
Proceeds from the event and special reception will benefit the National Children's Book and Literacy Alliance, a 501-c3 not-for-profit advocate for children, literacy,literature,art,and libraries.
