The Danforth Museum of Art is pleased to announce a new juried exhibition showcasing the art of children's book illustration. Children's book illustrators working in all media are invited to submit to Picture This!, juried by Susan Sherman, Art Director at Charlesbridge Publishing.
Submissions will be accepted online until Friday, April 22, 2011. A Prospectus with all important info is available on the Danforth's website: http://www.danforthmuseum.org/annual_members2011.html. Picture This! joins Off the Wall and Community of Artists, as part of the Danforth's Annual Juried Exhibitions 2011. All three juried shows will open with a Patron's Preview reception on Saturday, June 11 and be on view from Sunday, June 12 through Sunday, August 7, 2012. Juror's Prizes of $500, $250, and $100 will be awarded.
Note: Applicants must become Museum members. A fee of $75 covers costs of up to three submissions, plus a one year individual museum membership. If you already have a membership, you will have the option to upgrade or extend your current membership by calling 508-620-0050, ext. 14.
